Justin Huber sent to AAA Portland
Yep. Huber is no longer on the Padres 40-man roster. That sucks. Huber has been outrighted to the Padres AAA affiliate Portland Beavers to make way for their top prospect Chase Headley. I really feel for the guy, who has clearly been working his arse off to make an impact based on the limited opportunities he has had. I hope he goes to AAA and bats .400 and smacks 50 homers.

I, as a Padre fan, was completely stunned that they sent Justin down. He has much more upside than Paul McAnulty. I have met them both and they are both real nice guys, so I am not biased either way. Plus, Justin is much more flexible and can play many positions on the field. With the possibility of Kouzmanoff and/or Giles going on the DL soon, perhaps Justin will be brought back up.
